Marc is the president of Stand up to Cancer (Kom op tegen Kanker), one of the biggest NGOs in Belgium, where he was previously the CEO.

Before joining the NGO sector, Marc worked as CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Brussels and board member of Saatchi&Saatchi Europe. He joined the Saatchi & Saatchi network in 2003 with his communication agency Quattro, which he founded in 1991.

Marc has a Master’s degree in economics and a Vlerick Management School MBA.  He is also an author with two published books; ‘Open Book’ on marketing and advertising (2011) and ‘Kom Op’ on solidarity and society (2022).

In 2018, Marc was elected Economist of the Year (University of Ghent). In 2023 he received the ‘Decoration of Honour of the Flemish Community’. His Lovemarks are  Muse, Van Morrison, Oostduinkerke,  and Apple.
