Serbia
Ivona is a medical doctor and currently PhD student at the University of Belgrade. In 2018, she authored a research paper on cervical cancer, focusing on post-therapeutic evaluation whilst working at the Serbian Centre of Nuclear Medicine. This project gave her the opportunity to participate in the National Student Conference of Biomedical Science of Serbia, the Global Student Conference in Belgrade and the International Student Conference in Sarajevo (2019). She also won 3rd place at the 42nd International Medical Scientific Congress in North Macedonia (2019) with the scientific paper entitled “The role of FDG/PET in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of dementia” and participated in the Young European Scientist Meeting in Porto (2019). Currently, she is working on a research paper about breast cancer and she is interest in carrying out more research, raise awareness of cancer symptoms and promote cancer prevention messages.
