GINEVRA PAPI

Ginevra is ECL’s Communications Officer. She leads ECL’s communications activities, with a focus on cancer prevention and the MEPs Against Cancer interest group as well as media relations and outreach. She keeps ECL’s membership and youth group updated, and supports the team to represent the views of ECL to the EU institutions and to develop a strong communications, digital and social media strategy for all ECL’s focus areas.

Ginevra holds a Bsc in Criminology & Criminal Psychology, an Msc in Violence, Conflict & Development and an ILM-accredited Charity Leadership & Management Certificate. She has extensive volunteering experience in a variety of contexts in the UK, Belgium, Italy and Ghana, including working with offenders, children, refugees and the homeless. She has a distinct passion for sustainable development and sustainability and her professional background includes communications, events management and organisational development.

Ginevra started out working on women and youth empowerment programmes focusing on improving livelihoods in the UK and Ghana. She then went on to work for one the UK’s leading charities for building a more sustainable, equitable and fair energy system and for the European Commission’s Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.

She is passionate about human rights and community engagement. In recent years, Ginevra has developed an interest towards social and environmental innovation with a particular interest in systemic change, human-centred design and holistic living.
