ECL’s new factsheet, Let’s talk about cancer, shines a light on the link between body weight and cancer prevention and control, and how health advocates and healthcare professionals can support people living with overweight and obesity in managing their body weight and cancer risk.

Scientific evidence shows weight plays a key role in the prevention and control of cancer. Body weight depends on a complex web of factors, both on an individual and systemic level. However, individuals and communities often lack adequate knowledge and tools to foster action in support of health-promoting food and build healthy environments, improving cancer prevention and control.
