
Dorine is responsible (in a dual board) for the Dutch Cancer Society (180 million euros in turnover and 200 staff members), that has a legacy of 75 years of funding (research) projects to minimise the impact of cancer on patients and their loved ones. Working on better understanding cancer, doing what can be done to prevent cancer, better treatments, the quality of life for patients during and after cancer and surrounding patients that cannot be cured with the best care possible.
Previously, Dorine worked as the Managing Director of the Dutch Postcode Lottery, as Chair of the Board of the Dutch Council for Refugees, Director of Economic Affairs Department of the City of Amsterdam and as Senior Manager Subsidy & Technology Consultants at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Dorine has a bachelor in History (Eastern Europe).
She has a deep passion for fostering connections between public and private organisations and NGO’s to achieve shared goals for a better society. She is convinced this is needed looking at the worldwide challenges we face.
