The Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL) co-hosted a webinar with the WHO Collaborating Centre for Early Detection of Cancer (CPO Piemonte) and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) to present the latest experiences regarding the resumption of cancer screening programmes after the COVID-19 crisis.

The webinar covered:

• An vverview of the impact of COVID-19 on cancer care with a focus on cancer screening programmes.
• Resuming cancer screening programmes: monitoring, priorities and lessons learnt throughout the pandemic.
• Communication strategies in the post-pandemic context: the Italian experience of “Inter-Screening Communication Group”.

Featured speakers included Andrè Carvalho (IARC), Carlo Senore (CPO Piemonte), Paola Armaroli (CPO Piemonte), and Livia Giordano (CPO Piemonte).
