The Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL), together with the EU Healthy Air Coalition, has sent a letter to the European Parliament’s special committee on housing ahead of their voting on an own initiative report on Housing crisis in the European Union with the aim of proposing solutions for decent, sustainable and affordable housing.
The letter, No contradiction between clean air efforts and measures on the housing crisis, highlights that efforts to improve air quality throughout Europe and measures tackling the housing crisis are not contradictory to each other.
The EU Healthy Air Coalition brings together non-profit health experts in the EU to advocate for better health for all through clean air. Founding members include the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME), the Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL), the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’Associations (EFA), the European Lung Foundation (ELF), the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA), the European Respiratory Society (ERS), the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL) and Independent Health Insurance Funds (Mutualités Libres).
