Towards a transformational change for children and adolescents with cancer in Europe

30 September 2021

To mark Gold September, a universally recognised occasion to raise awareness of childhood cancer, the MEPs Against Cancer interest group is hosting a special event to recognise the efforts and support of EU policymakers championing childhood cancer issues.

Initiated by parents, patients, and survivors of childhood cancer at the grassroots level, Gold September has today become a broadly endorsed initiative with a prominent global presence.

The webinar will be hosted by MEP Véronique Trillet-Lenoir, co-chair of the MEPs Against Cancer interest group, in collaboration with the Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL), the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE), Childhood Cancer International – Europe, and the Pan-European Network for Care of Survivors after Childhood and Adolescent Cancer (PanCare).

In Europe, the organisations representing childhood cancer parents, patients, survivors, healthcare professionals, and academia mark the campaign through this dedicated online policy event.
