TANJA GOHLERT

Tanja is ECL’s Operations Coordinator. 

She is an intersectional feminist with 20 years’ experience working with UN agencies and processes, EU institutions, NGOs & CSOs, and movements – including civil society support & coordination, movement building, monitoring & evaluation, donor relations, office management, and overall advocacy to further women’s rights, equality, civic space, climate & environmental justice and on the SDGs.

Recently her focus has been on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) through consulting. Previously she worked with the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) on reducing inequalities, human rights and raising awareness on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as on the Myanmar Peace Process as Europe Director at Euro-Burma Office, and several years in the Spokesman’s Service at the European Commission. In 2017 she co-organized the Brussels Women’s March.

Tanja has a BA in English from Smith College as well as an MA in International Politics from ULB in Brussels.
