Shukurgeldi MYRADOV

Shukurgeldi Myradov is an enthusiastic Interregional Leader of the UN Ambassadors for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia. His volunteering experience with the UNFPA-supported youth network Y-PEER and an approach to identifying ideas from a creative perspective also earned him the position of Focal Point in Charge and Leader of Volunteers of Turkmenistan. In 2020, Shukurgeldi became a Graduate of the Academy of Preventive Diplomacy organized by UNRCCA. The experience gained at the Academy and his multilingual communication skills in 6 languages allowed Shukurgeldi to become the Laureate of the Youth Peace Prize at PyeongChang Peace Forum 2021, where he made a public statement, expressing a dozen ideas about what actions young people can take today to develop peace and security through the prism of the Sustainable Development Goals.

As health advocate and civil society enthusiast, his experience includes working in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, HIV/AIDS Prevention, Gender Equality, Gender-Based Violence, Meaningful Youth Participation, Civic Engagement and Global Peace Building, through inclusive and interactive peer education approach.

With great desire to realize the leadership and creativity potential of youth by strengthening their health, as the ECL Youth Ambassador Shukurgeldi aspires to contribute to a united mission and encourage everyone to become agents of positive changes.
