Pawel is a health educator and the Deputy Head of Department in the Primary Prevention Unit of the Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention Department at Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center and Institute of Oncology in Warsaw.

Pawel is deeply involved in promoting the European Code Against Cancer and frequently appears on  national and regional tv and radio channels. He is a member of the Brussels-based the European Network for Smoking Prevention Youth Working Group. 

He completed his doctoral studies at the Medical University of Warsaw at the Faculty of Health Sciences and holds post-graduate specialisations in medical law and innovative promotion. The subject of his PhD thesis concerned breast cancer epidemiology and prevention.

Pawel has held various international scholarships, including from  the School of Advanced Science on Science Diplomacy and Innovation at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil (2019) and the US National Cancer Institute (2018).  He also sit in the Committee on Disease Prevention and Management in the 2018-19 edition of the European Health Parliament.
