Maria is a young doctor working in a rural clinic on the island of Lesvos. During her studies, Maria was affiliated with the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) and contributed to several studies on ocular melanoma and vaccination in children with rheumatic diseases. Working in a primary health center means that she gets to talk about prevention and healthy living on a daily basis. Hence, her main goal as an ECL Youth Ambassador is to spread the word about the European Code Against Cancer and give her patients and the general public the tools and information necessary to adopt healthier lifestyles.
