Krassimira Zaykova is a medical student at the Medical University of Varna (MUV). She is a Volunteering Representative of the MUV Paediatrics Society. She is also a member of the Organising Committee of the 2020 Young Leaders for Health Social Entrepreneurship Challenge on eHealth. She was the Assistant to the President of the Association of Medical Students in Bulgaria-Varna, part of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), during the term in 2018-2019. Krassimira has had many research papers published and regularly participates in international conferences and symposia. She used to volunteer for a mentoring charity working with young people in disadvantaged communities to raise aspirations and help them grow in character and attainment. Krassimira’s motto is “If your actions result in only saving one life, they are worth taking. I am convinced we can affect the well-being of millions of people if we invest in cancer prevention”.
