HELENA ROS

Helena is ECL’s EU Research Projects Officer. She coordinates ECL’s portfolio of EU projects and is responsible for the implementation and management of several EU-funded projects and the periodic reporting to the Commission. She also manages working relations with project partners, ECL members and collaborators, as well as other high-level key stakeholders. The ECL portfolio includes several Horizon Europe/Horizon 2020 (i.e. MyPeBs, CBIG-SCREEN, PAINLESS) and EU4Health projects (i.e. CanScreen-ECIS and BUMPER). She also supports the ECL Secretariat for the development of proposals for EU and third-party funding. 

Helena holds a Bsc in International Relations and Translation, an Msc in Development Studies from SOAS University of London, and a PRINCE2® Practitioner Certificate in Project Management. Before joining ECL she worked implementing refugee aid and youth development projects using a human-centered design approach for different NGOs in Asia, including in Cambodia and Malaysia through which she collaborated with key stakeholders, including UNHCR, Microsoft, the Malaysian Government, and the Spanish Government. She also has experience as a consultant doing research on the implementation of menstrual health programming in low-and-middle-income countries. 

Helena is passionate about social justice and sustainable development and she has a special interest in gender mainstreaming and migration issues.
