Francesco CHIERIGO

Francesco is a first year urology resident at San Martino Hospital in Genoa, Italy. He graduated cum laude with honours in 2018 with a thesis on the use of antisense oligonucleotides to target prostate and bladder cancer at Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele, Milan. Since his fourth year of medicine, he has been actively involved in clinical and translational research, having the opportunity of being part of the Urological Reasearch Istitute, one of the biggest urological groups in Europe, guided by Prof. Andrea Salonia. He also spent six months at University College Hospital, London, to do andrological research under the supervision of Prof. David Ralph. Francesco has had number of research papers published and regularly participates in national international conferences and symposium. His preferred topics are Uro-Oncology and Andrology. Francesco firmly believes that an ounce of cancer prevention is worth a ton of cancer cure and that by simple actions, we can reduce the risk of cancer development of future generations.
