Benjamin Spanik is a medical doctor in National Cancer Institute in Bratislava at Department of Clinical Oncology. He graduated from Comenius University, Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava. During his studies had opportunities to earn experiences from different departments abroad, mainly in Iowa and Florida, US. He has been interested in medicine since his childhood, and last few years especially in oncology. Department where he recently started to work, is mainly focused on malignancies of GI tract. As these malignancies have high prevalence and incidence in population of Slovakia, prevention and general awareness play an important role in early detection and therefore prognosis of therapy. He is very happy that he can participate in such a community and can be a part of projects which are able to have positive impact on oncological patient.
