Amil recently graduated in medicine from the University of Banja Luka. During his studies, he was the National Public Health Officer of the Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH) in Srpska Medical Students’ International Committee (SaMSIC), member of IFMSA. Amil has been active in the field of public health since he joined SaMSIC in 2015, working on several projects focusing on non-communicable diseases, tobacco, HIV prevention and oral health.

While working at SaMSIC he co-founded and coordinated the project “Healthsphere” (Healthy lifestyles and NCDs prevention), founded and coordinated the project “RedRibbonNight” (HIV/AIDS prevention), coordinated the project “National Anti-Tobacco Day” (anti-tobacco campaign), and supervised the project “Smile For Health” (marking the world oral health day). “Healthsphere” has gained international recognition through IFMSA, and it is planned to be organised in more than 10 European countries.
