Agata is a Biology graduate with a keen interest in cancer epidemiology, prevention, and control. During her studies, she specialized in molecular biology and researched DNA damage repair. Agata is currently a specialist at the Cancer Epidemiology and Primary Prevention Department at the Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology in Warsaw. She is an investigator in the Prospective Urban Rural Epidemiology (PURE) study, which aims to characterize mortality and morbidity of the most common chronic diseases (including cancers) by identifying environmental risk factors (eg. lifestyle, diet, and work), as well as factors determining the course of chronic diseases. Agata is always on the lookout for opportunities to develop her knowledge, currently working on her PhD on breast cancer prevention at the Doctoral School of Medical University of Warsaw.
